Brian Reardon - woodturner

To me and to nearly everyone on this planet, wood is an essential part of our lives. It is versatile in as much as it can be very strong without being brittle and with some can be flexible, also very decorative. There are thousands of types of wood throughout the world, most of which the average person has never heard of.

Most of my working life was spent in the building trade as a carpenter. In my spare time I have made cabinets, built fitted wardrobes, tables etc. the list is endless and as a hobby I did woodcarving, several pieces were exhibited at the National Woodworkers Show.

I now spend most of my time turning bowls, platters, vases, pens etc., all unique and individual.

I will also take commission work.
